  • Individual Therapy for Adults

Your relationship with yourself is the foundation of growth and healing. Looking at the story of your life holistically and determining what parts of it are holding you back today is a powerful way to overcome limits and step into a healthier version of yourself.

Research shows the #1 indicator of health and longevity of life is the quality of our relationships. Maybe you’re feeling dissatisfied and disconnected in your relationships or realizing they lack meaning and depth. This doesn’t happen by accident: there are deep-seated reasons we find ourselves unable to show up and engage the way we long to.

In what areas of life are you simply surviving? Exploring where your behaviors, habits and patterns are keeping you from thriving can provide profound insight. All of us operate out of the examples, messages and beliefs given to us throughout life; only deeper examination can expose the coping methods that are no longer serving you.

  • Counseling for Couples

Relationship therapy isn’t “one size fits all”, so my approach with each couple depends on their unique needs. Some common goals for couple therapy include:

    • Assess what’s getting in the way of connection, meaningful communication, and the benefits of intimate partnership.

    • Identify what each partner needs and find effective ways to articulate those needs so you can work toward meeting one another in more meaningful ways.

    • Dismantle unhelpful patterns you’re stuck in as a couple by exploring the motivation behind your limiting or unhelpful behavior.

    • Externalize the problem and approach it as a team.

*75-minute sessions are recommended for most couple clients.

  • Play Therapy for Kids

Children process through the language of play. In the absence of a fully developed prefrontal cortex, they rely on play to communicate the complexity of their inner reality. Through play therapy children experience a freedom they rarely do in the real world. My goal in working with children is to provide and facilitate a safe environment wherein they can express and process what causes them distress and what is too complicated for words.

Sometimes themes arise out of play, providing understanding to both the therapist and a child’s caretakers that help us meet the child in their experience. Other times, the process of play therapy itself is the healing agent for children who need a dedicated safe space to exercise power, receive attention, and have their feelings validated.

Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges

Under the No Surprises Act you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
