Welcome
Welcome to Lucent Mental Health Services. Whether you’re familiar with the process of therapy or this is your first time, I’m glad you’re seeking out resources and support. Being honest with yourself about what you need is difficult and pursuing help to address those needs is one of the bravest things you can do. By prioritizing your mental health you value yourself, your relationships, and your quality of life in a powerful way.
My name is Lauren…
… And I really love the work I get to do as a therapist. For me, there is no work more worthy than coming alongside others as a resource on their journey toward wholeness. I came to the mental health services field as a second career after spending a decade in mortgage operations and realizing I longed for a different kind of professional life. Now I work as an administrator and clinician in a field I believe I was made for.
I have a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I’m a licensed professional counselor candidate in the state of Colorado and have been working with clients since 2019 in a variety of settings to dismantle the stories they’re stuck in and help them create new ones that honor who they are today and better serve their hopes for the future.

Carl Rogers, the founder of humanistic psychotherapy, believed that all humans have an innate drive to grow toward fulfilling their potential. I buy into this principle of self-actualization and believe my role as a counselor is to facilitate an environment where you feel equipped and empowered to make the changes you desire.
Maybe you’re tired of suffering from the same old pain points, or experience dissatisfaction in your primary relationships. Maybe you’re asking big questions about your purpose and role in this world, or looking to increase your functioning in a specific area of life. You might be trying to navigate a transition or a new stage in life, or grieving the loss of something valuable to your world and sense of self.
No matter what compels you to seek therapy, I admire and affirm your desire for a better experience of life. I would love the chance to work with you to move out of survival mode toward health, wholeness, and thriving.
Definition of lucent:
